RIYL: HEY ROSETTA!, SAID THE WHALE, THE FRAY

Formed in early 2014, What If Elephants is the rhythmically driven blend of indie-pop / alt-rock surrounding the warm and catchy melodies of singer/songwriter Joey Langlois. Having performed along-side emerging and well respected artists such as Zerbin, Motel Raphael, David Martel, Roxanne Potvin, and Secret Sun, What If Elephants has developed a live presence that connects with the audience via its genuine and endearing spirit.

The "Getaway EP" is the follow-up to Joey's "Spin Around Me E.P.'' released in October 2013. The EP, mixed by Tokyo Spears (of Cardboard Crowns) and mastered by George Seara, (Finger Eleven, Jesse Cook, Rihanna) was a step towards What If Elephants' fuller sound. With a growing sense of their collaborative strengths, they've produced a highly animated and impassioned mix of pop, rock, and roots with a Montreal indie flare.

"This Montreal band has an insta-catchy, harmonious, upbeat, big pop sound that is more than radio-ready. You can already picture a field of fans at a summer music festival waving their arms and singing along to this one."   - Grant Lawrence, CBC Radio 3
